Sound Partitions
J.A. Macdonald uses high-quality materials to meet the sound control requirements of various spaces, from boardrooms to classrooms and more. Our partition systems are rated by STC values to meet specified sound control standards. Acoustic caulk is used as a seal between dissimilar surfaces to prevent leakage and vibrations.
The sound resistant assemblies we use come in various densities for different sound control needs. Depending on the sound transfer specifications of a space, components can include sound batts insulation, resilient channel systems, lead lining, neoprene gasket materials and additional drywall layers. Our professionals apply acoustic caulk to assembly perimeters to deaden sound transfer through the cracks.
